Mr. Valliappa, Mr. Chocko Valliappa & Mr. Thyagu Valliappa provided groceries worth Rs.1.75 lakhs for 100 temple priests as a COVID relief program, in the presence of MLA Mr. R. Rajendra.

On behalf of the "Association of Managements of Aided Polytechnic Colleges, Tamil Nadu," its chairman Mr. C. Valliappa, TPT college vice-chairman Mr. C. Chocko Valliappa, and the principal Mr. V. Karthikeyan met with respectable Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and presented him with 36 lakhs in the presence of Mr. K. Ponmudi, Honourable Higher Education Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Mr. Valliappa, Mr. Chocko Valliappa & Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, on behalf of The Sona Group of Institutions, provided oxygen concentrators (worth 3 Lakhs, 10 liter's Size) to hospitals as a COVID relief program, in the presence of MLA Mr. R. Rajendra.

Seetha Valliappa Knowledge Bank through Valliappa Foundation is providing loans with Zero percent Interest up to Rs. 45 Lakhs announced by Mr. Valliappa, Mr. Chocko Valliappa & Mr. Thyagu Valliappa for the 2021-22 batch students in TPT college in the presence of MLA Mr. R. Rajendra.

The Sona Group launched a vaccination drive in Salem on 12th June to protect the Salemites in the presence of Chocko Valliappa. A CSR initiative by The Sona Group to help the localities of Salem.

For the wellbeing of society, Valliappa Foundation started to supply Anadhanam to 1000+ patients at Salem Steel Plant COVID Care Centre and SONA COVID Care Center in Salem. We held a press meet regarding this in College Campus.

On behalf of Valayapatti Nagarathar Sangam and The Sona Group of Institutions, Sona Valliappa has provided Oxygen concentrators, ECG machines, and other medical equipment to government hospitals in Pudukkottai district, Ponnamaravathi, Valayapatti PLK Mahal on June 6th, 2021 under the chairmanship of the Minister.

During the COVID crisis, TPT college and Sona Institutions made a social gesture. They have donated Rs 1 crore worth of nutritious food five times a day to COVID patients at Salem Steel Plant's Special Corona Treatment Centre.

Chocko Valliappa, on behalf of the Textiles Association, presented our honourable Chief Minister, B. S. Yediyurappa, with 1,00,000 masks that were used in Government hospitals. For the Ramanagars village in Karnataka, the association also donated 25,000 masks and 100 N95 respirators.

On April 13, 2020, the innovative Vee Trace app, created by Sona College of Technology and Vee Technologies, was successfully launched in Salem Municipal Corporation. The app detects COVID-19 infected people and displays the radius in which a COVID-19 infected person can be found. When an infected person is within 10 metres, 100 metres, or 1 kilometre of you, you will receive timely warnings.

Vee Technologies employees donated one day's pay to the PM-CARES fund as a remarkable act of community service. VEEIANS are working around the clock to alleviate through lockdown and are also assisting the nation in combating Covid-19 because they are socially responsible.

As part of the Covid19 donations, Vice Chairmen Mr. Chocko Valliappa and Mr. Thyagu Valliappa donated 200 steel cots, bedspreads, pillows, and bedsheets to COVID infected people in the Salem district. On September 16, 2020, the benefactions totalling Rs. 15 lakhs were handed over to Salem District Collector, Mr. Raman, at the Collectorate office.

Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman of Sona Group of Institutions, donates thermal scanner worth Rs. 3,00,000 to Salem district Collector, Mr. S. A. Raman, at Salem Collectorate, for the Covid-19 pandemic relief fund.

Sona Management donated consumer goods such as 2000kg rice, 300kg dhal, and 50 bottles of sanitizers to Salem district collector Mr. S. A. Raman at the Salem collectorate for the Covid-19 pandemic relief fund.

In the presence of honourable Minister of Higher Education, K. P. Anbalagan, C. Valliappa, Chairman of Sona College of Technology, and his sons, Chocko Valliappa and Thyagu Valliappa, donated 1000 N95 breathing masks, 10,000 hand gloves, and 2,000 500 ml bottles of sanitizer to Dharmapuri Medical College.

The Sona group of institutions donated Fogging machine worth Rs 50,000 to the Medical college hospital due to the pandemic.

The Sona Group of Institutions & Heartfulness Institute distributed blankets for affected people by Cyclone Nivar.
