Sona Yukti, a city-based skill development and training institute, received Social Enterprise Network (SEN) Sustainability award for outstanding contributions in education. Chocko Valliappa, CEO of Sona Yukti, was named the recipient of the SEN award by the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), at their annual event held in Cape Town, South Africa.
The award was presented to recognize Sona Yukti’s efforts towards helping 55,000 economically disadvantaged candidates and training them for high-skilled jobs, particularly those who hail from the marginalized communities. Sona Yukti was the only Indian organization, selected to become a part of this prestigious SEN awards for 2018.
